Reading my sister's post about her adventure as a bridesmaid has reminded me to write about my dear husband.  I, like my sister, am not interested in makeup (we do have the same mother!), and am blessed with a husband whose thoughts on makeup are, "But I want to be able to kiss you without getting goop on my face."

It has been about 2 1/2 years since my last haircut, and my hair has gotten the longest it's ever been.  Even in a braid, it really was getting in the way a lot.  Jonathan helped Jon this time and was thrilled to be able to do so.  I am thrilled to have this lovely haircut.

But even more thrilling is this:

Mommy brushes her new lovely "short" hair.

Jonathan:  "Daddy, why are you shivering?"

Daddy: "Because Mommy is so beautiful."

And on our anniversary date (6 years!) he shivered some more looking at me.  Well, even if you don't think that's thrilling, I sure do and that's what counts. (:  May God bless our marriage so he's still shivering on our 60th!

I shiver hearing the story! (Good goosebumps, of course.)

If he's not shivering on your 60th, you can always celebrate in New Zealand. :)
