Jonathan said, "book" today when he went to his bookshelf. He read one of his numbers books for quite a long time. He can now say, "bye-bye" also. The occasions when he does it are when the toilet is flushing and when his turtle turns off. He may also say "umbrella" but it is not yet refined. (More)

I had decided on FIRM Solutions in December, but then someone beat me to buying the domain name.It must have been so much easier to figure out company name things before the internet. I spent quite a while searching... (More)

The night we arrived (Monday) was "Christmas Eve" so we each opened our one present from "Mr. Ho" and filled the stockings for the morning. It turns out that Santa had also visted Bermuda, because we each received a souvenir ornament from Bermuda. "Christmas" morning was leisurely, as Mom had to... (More)

We woke up this morning (5ish) to no water in our upstairs bathroom. The downstairs sink was fine, which had been trouble before, so maybe I actually fixed that last year. The temperature was 9 degrees Fahrenheit, and typically, we have had trouble once it gets to the teens. We set up a... (More)

A friend of ours was complaining about spam, and Heather agreed, and said she had been getting tons of spam lately. I questioned her on that, since I am in charge of the filters that filter our spam, and I think they do a pretty good job: maybe 15-20 spams got through in the last two years.... (More)

I have been evaluating different version control programs for my company for the last month or two. My current evaluation is that all of them are broken, although I hope to discover a good solution someday soon. Serena's Version Manager (PVCS) I have spent a lot of time with Version... (More)

Charles Finney isn't all that popular at my church , so hopefully I don't get kicked out for reading this (:, but I finally got around to starting to read Lecture Notes on Theology by Finney this morning, when I woke up early due to a cold. I have only read the first couple of pages, but... (More)

I have been reading a serious of articles by Bob Kauflin, written for Crosswalk.com . I don't agree entirely, and I think he is primarily focused on younger people, those who like so-called "praise" songs, and don't like hymns, so if you do not understand that camp, you might not get as much... Dr.Anderson called and said that Jonathan's lead came back 9.2. That's below their threshold of 10, but still some, so he said to be careful, make sure we wash his toys and keep the rugs vacuumed and watch out where he plays. Jon isn't really satisfied with that and said he'd call him to see... (More)

I added a small color changing picker (bottom right of this page), if you don't like my purply colors. Of course, you can only pick the colorsets that I let you, and right now there isn't much interesting, but I will get around to making some more at some point. We probably need a crazy color one... Bernie says our car is dead. He can't figure out what is going on. He thought maybe the dealership might know something, but he didn't have a lot of hope. I have heard that a 1988 Dodge Caravan was/is a really good car, and should last a long time. I do see lots of them around Pittsburgh.... (More)
