I finally figured out a name for my web-hosting and embedded software company. I had decided on FIRM Solutions in December, but then someone beat me to buying the domain name.It must have been so much easier to figure out company name things before the internet. I spent quite a while searching through domain registration systems, trying to find a name that wasn't too long, but still useful and not hard to remember or type. Heather made me a lime daley drink yesterday (she has been taking care of me the last 4 days while I have been sick, and so making me hot lemon and ginger drinks, etc.) and I thought maybe that would be a good name. So, I went ahead and purchased it last night from gandi.net, recommended by a friend at darkclan.net. The page doesn't have much yet, but I will slowly start adding content. I am hoping to get a couple of pages setup, for the different aspects of the company. I have a couple options for hosting, and they are all reasonable, but just need to figure out which one is the best for me.

For the curious, here is the recipe for a Lime Daley:
  • ice to taste
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 drops Boyajian lime oil
  • 1 twelve-ounce bottle Blenheim “Old #3” (red cap) ginger ale
Put ice in a tall glass. Add lime juice and lime oil. Slowly pour in Blenheim. Stir well. Be prepared for the strongest kick a non-alcoholic drink can have. (To remember the proportions, think "3, 2, 1, blastoff!" It’s appropriate.)
(I predict LimeDaley.com will be a powerful business.)
