On Tuesday, Jonathan caught a ball for real! Usually the only time he catches it is if the thrower lands it directly into his arms. This time, he actually reached out and to the side with his two hands to make a sucessful catch.
This past week has been very hot, slowing an already big and slow Mommy down. Thursday, I was chopping vegetables for dinner, in slow motion. Jonathan looked up from what he was doing and asked, "Do you need any help with that onion?" I gladly gave him the cutting board and got another one for the green peppers.

Just this morning as I'm typing, Jonathan says (as he puts paper clips on the edge of a piece of fabric spread on the floor), "I'm making a mattress for your baby, Mom. I'm putting pins on it so it won't get all bunched up."

Soon all the spilt milk and slow dinner will pay off by making a capable, cheerful helper! How wonderful!
