I called my friend Alissa today and her four and a half year old son William answered. I said hi and asked for his mom and he said, "Well, she's downstairs right now, but you can talk to me and tell me what you want to say and I can tell her." It was not that long ago that he would only say, please call back. It wasn't even that much longer before that when he couldn't even answer the phone!
So I gave the message and said if she had questions she could call back. Soon after, she did call, "My secretary says you called!" It turns out that Will got at least half of it right, but we did need a little bit of clarification.
Before we know it he'll be calling me with messages from his mom!
