Our family will be in Boston next weekend (after the father-daughter retreat at Maranatha) and we are wondering if there is anyone who would be willing to spend some time at the hospital so our whole family (minus Grace) can go out to Boda Borg and the same sushi buffet that some of us went to last week.

I think we could do dinner on Saturday night around 6:30 or Sunday around 5:30.

We are going to Boda Borg on Sunday afternoon from 12:30PM to 5:30PM or so.

The hospital requires an adult to be in the room, but the actual responsibilities are limited and the clinical assistant and nurse can be called on for anything, so you can participate how much ever you want.   If Grace is awake she'll have opinions about what to do, whether that is reading, going to the playroom, having you hold her hand, spending time taking her vitals (and don't forget the monkey - he gets his vitals checked only slightly less often than Grace does, though he continues to be regularly checked for mucositis even though Grace is past that stage).

This great opportunity comes with a free meal (actually - most of the hospital food is pretty decent - particularly if I add hot sauce).

Let us know if you can come for any of those times.  Thanks!

I tried to send a message, but it didn't go through..I will come, but I'm unclear about what time you are asking for.

Thank you Chris. We've had a number of people volunteer (and we might take you up for another time - getting away from the hospital is really great)
