On Monday, Jonathan said what sounded like "van-fan" so I tried to figure out what he meant. He pointed to the shelf and said it again, maybe differently. I looked up, and there were the bits - works of Rembrandt! I said, "Rembrandt?" And he said, "yes, Rembrandt!" (or a close approximation.) It had been a while since he saw them so I was quite impressed that he remembered. After we saw the bits, he asked for the word cards behind them by saying, very clearly, "words."
Jonathan likes the camera and he says "picture" like a cute little English boy - "peek-tcha"

Jon attached an old phone to the wall at toddler height, which Jonathan likes to play with. The other day, he picked it up and said, "Hello. Hello. Go potty. potty. Bye." and then hung up.

When we were at a picnic on Wednesday, he had a lot of fun playing on the playground equipment. There was a tunnel slide that he liked the best, and he figured out how to climb up it!

Yesterday, he was playing in his pool and he started singing a cute little song that included the words "Aunt Janet" and "beach."

This morning, he picked up one of his Spanish books and said, "sombrero"!!
