The chicks have started preening themselves.
I opened the smaller panel. It would be a nice view except that the outside is very dirty with last year's (and maybe this years') droppings. It's not so great for looking and abysmal for the camera.
I waffle back and forth between which panel to have open. It's really better observation to have the large one open, but I am afraid it might be too disturbing for the birds. However, my plan to use the small panel to observe if any parents are attending and once a day when they are not, go out and take pictures, won't work when the chicks are old enough to get frightened by my presence outside. So for now, I think I'll open the large panel and just continue to be careful when I go by.
