Powered by LifeTypeOn Wednesday, we walked to the Shursave for a regular shopping trip. The only difference in this trip was the lack of milk in the bottom of the cart, since I had just gotten some at Trader Joe's. But it made a big difference for Jonathan! He pulled the cart the whole way home by himself, except for the street crossings where I just kept a hand on it for safety. Noah was ambling along at his inquisitive pace, and once we crossed the last street, Jonathan steadily made his way towards home.
By the time Noah and I arrived home, Jonathan was already carrying the groceries upstairs. He said to me, "You don't have to worry about anything Mommy, I'll take them all up. (But you can take some up if you want.)" I took a big bag of cans, and he did every single other item, including putting things in the fridge. "I'm glad to help you, Mommy!" I sure was glad for the help; it was the easiest shopping trip I've ever had!
In other news, Jonathan loves to pick me bouquets of wildflowers whenever appropriate, which is often at church. Last Sunday we went early because Jon was playing trombone, and the boys and I stayed outside in the beautiful morning. There was still dew on the flowers, and Jonathan discovered dew on something else - "Mommy! A spiderweb made out of bubbles!"
Jonathan has also been interested in making things out of origami. We have a basic book (that sometimes cheats) but it has given him an idea of how it works. So now he's been making up his own origami creations. He designed and made a bat that I think is really neat, and I'll have to post a picture as soon as I get one.
That's wonderful!! What a great helper. Especially when you are pregnant! Sammi usually helps me with a few light bags and puts a few things away, but to have almost the entire thing done for me would be awesome!
