I have heard people debate about whether not being able to hear a child playing is worse than hearing one that is really loud.  I can tell you that I would take either one over waking up to sounds of water splashing around.

We were out late last night at the Moore's Art Party, and Heather had said that she wouldn't be going to the Women's Breakfast this morning, but when I woke up at 8:30, the house was quiet, so I figured she had gone.  But, then at 10, I woke up again, this time to sounds of sort of liquid being jostled around - sort of like playing in the bathtub, except that I was pretty sure the sounds weren't coming from the bathroom, and the tank sounded smaller than a bathtub.

I called out to see if it was Jonathan and asked him what he was doing - he recently built a water detector with the electroncs kit that the Alloways gave him, and I thought perhaps he was expanding on that project.  He said that the milk jug was leaking, but he was taking care of it.

Apparently, he had dropped the full jug of milk on the floor while trying to lift it to the table.  It started leaking, and so he rushed to put the jug in the sink, and then got a water pitcher and poured all of the milk into it, and then wiped up the spilled milk and put the jug back in the sink.

He asked how long it would be before I was going to get out of bed - I asked why, and he said because he would put the milk away if I wasn't going to be getting up soon.

He did everything perfectly except for forgetting that liquids like to creep underneath the plastic placemats.

Jonathan is definitely growing up!
