Jonathan is saying new words so quickly now that it is impossible to keep track of them. Here are a few highlights from the past week.
I once overheard a neighbor boy across the street complain to his aunt, "That baby is so annoying, he just keeps saying 'hi.' " But the other day, Jonathan did try to tell him something else: They said "hi" to each other as usual, and then Jonathan said "truck, round and round" moving his hands in a circular motion. He was telling the boy about a concrete mixer truck!
On Friday night, Jonathan pointed out the moon for the first time and said, "moon."
On Sunday, I stayed home from church with a cold, and Jon rode his bike with Jonathan in the trailer. When we were getting ready, Jon asked Jonathan if he remembered riding, and he said, "bike, Daddy, Daddy!" with the sign for Daddy and a very excited voice.
That afternoon, they biked and I rode a bus to a wedding of some friends. Certain parts of the music were very loud, and Jonathan pointed to his ear and said, "loud."
On Monday, Jonathan took an empty gallon jug and put it in the recycling bag. Also, he climbed up onto our bed by himself for the first time.
Last week I set up a trapeze for him, which he enjoys, but he is still learning how to use it.
Today, we discovered that the robins had hatched, and we watched the daddy post a guard. Jonathan pointed to him and said, "rob-ee."

Looking forward to new pictures (trapeze, robins, Jonathan in the bike trailer...).
I will have to see if that is a bug, or if it doesn't work at all.
Also, for all of you who don't read the blog often enough to see what happened, I already fixed Linda's post.
When my speed dropped to below 4 mph, I started walking, since it is about the same speed, and walking is less effort than biking.
The trip was 14 miles to church, with a 40 mile round trip, including the wedding and reception.
By car, the trip is 11 miles, and takes about 30 minutes.
