The night we arrived (Monday) was "Christmas Eve" so we each opened our one present from "Mr. Ho" and filled the stockings for the morning. It turns out that Santa had also visted Bermuda, because we each received a souvenir ornament from Bermuda. "Christmas" morning was leisurely, as Mom had to... (More)

Christmas Eve morning, Jonathan threw up. It turned out to be a stomach bug, so the performance repeated itself several times. We took a bath and napped in a chair. (He seemd to throw up more if he was lying down, so I held him upright and tried to sleep myself.) We tried to nurse, but it just... (More)

Jonathan climbed down the stairs all by himself - beginning with turning himself around at the top, which was the limiting factor in his previous attempts. Very soon, I think, we will take the gates away. This success was from the third floor to the second, which has the (more easily)... (More)

Jonathan has started saying, "Oops!". He learned that at the progressive dinner where one of the college guys was playing with him, shooting a matchbox car back and forth across the room. One time it hit a cord lying on the floor, so it didn't make it to Jonathan, and the guy said, "Oops".... (More)

Jonathan and I now have this fun game where we sit on the bed and fall back. He will do this by himself now, and he thinks it's very funny. Also, the other day, he did several practice trials of getting off the bed feet first. It's still a little high for him to comfortably get all the way on... (More)

I signed up with Citibank/Mastercard my freshman year in college. I used to sign up for stuff on campus quite often, as they would give me various free things, t-shirts, radios, $100 gift certificates, etc. I also felt somewhat sorry for the vendors, as their income was $1 every time they got... Someone off-handedly mentioned on the midwives list that so-called "crack babies" are really mis-named. While crack is certainly not the thing to do, medical research says that it isn't any worse than alcohol or tobacco. There are a number of articles, like this one that can be found from... (More)
