Warning: this post has to do with potty training and bowel movements. Those who do not wish to read such things should not click the "more" link.
The new little potty we got Jonathan is great for urination, but it is not quite right for bowel movements. He does his best when squatting all the way down, and on his potty, his feet just barely touch the floor.

A couple of times, when we have been going to the potty, he has gotten off, and squatted down in front of it, and pooped on the towel that's under the potty. I considered that a good first step, but I wasn't sure how to go about getting further.

Today, I took the insert out of the potty and held it under his bottom as he squatted, and it worked! However, he is not entirely comfortable with that, and just now he went in his diaper, so off this post goes so I can change him.
