I never did anything with Jonathan's cradle cap and it's still there. It's hidden by hair and doesn't bother him, so I continue to do nothing. But Noah's looks different, and actually more noticable, so I thought I'd try to do something about it.

After quite a search, we finally found non-scented mineral oil - we had to discover that it is found in the laxatives aisle instead of the baby aisle. (Now that I know this, I saw it staring me right in the face at Shur Save today after I bought Jon's deodorant. But I digress.)

It works great! Rub a small amount on the baby's head, let it soak a while, then scrape it off with fingernails or a cradle cap brush. The vast majority came off in one day (after I became a bit more agressive in scraping) and now I just have to do some touching up in places that I missed, namely edges.

Noah has been enjoying his tummy time more, staying happy longer and lifting his head higher. Yesterday, he managed to scoot about 8 inches forward and to the left even with long pants on!

We've also used different kinds of vegetable oils, namely olive and canola, with success. Baby doesn't like it, but it works. Elly needs another oiling sometime, but I've been putting it off...
