On Saturday while we were hanging around on CMU campus for Carnival, Jonathan signed "Daddy."
We were at the top of the hill by the tennis courts, talking to a friend, and our kids were playing down at the bottom of the hill. I saw Jonathan signing for Daddy, and he was thrilled to answer the call and go down to him!
So for now, it seems that when he only says "Daddy" he means Mommy, but when he says and signs it, he really does mean Daddy. Sometimes he will sign "Mommy" but not very often, and it's hard to distinguish from "water" unless he speaks as well.
