The doctors started talking about discharge last Friday and that continued on Monday.  They decided to turn off the continuous morphine and moving more of her medicines to her NG tube.

I was pretty skeptical that she was going to tolerate only on occasional morphine and I expected her to vomit more with the increased meds through her NG tube, but as of Tuesday, she has been doing about the same as the previous days, so that is good.  She has continued to play and also vomit a little.

Jeremiah and I moved our stuff out of our old apartment and I went home to work at the town election.

Nathaniel and I will go back to Boston today and move into the new apartment.

I haven't talked to Heather yet today, but it looks likely that Grace will be able to leave the hospital on Friday.  We will probably be at the apartment for 2-4 weeks with regular appointments at the Jimmy Fund Clinic.

Prayer requests:

  • Grace's liver will continue to shrink and get unclogged.
  • She will be able to tolerate the increased medications through her NG tube.
  • That she will start eating on her own.
