Jonathan and I were taking a bath this morning when he stuck his face in the water and blew bubbles, his own idea!
He has been much more willing to explore floating and "swimming" since he played in the Kuhns' medium sized kiddie pool the other week.

With all the splashing, we had drained the water to a level where he could lie down on his back in the water and still have his face in the air. He made those "I'm not so comfortable with this" breathing sounds (Mom knows what I'm talking about.) but made himself stay down since he had the confidence of the floor on his back.

The next time we took a bath after that, he let me float him on his back, which he hasn't liked in many months, and he kicked and splashed and had a good time.

Today was even better, he floated himself on his stomach, saying "fly" and "fish," blowing bubbles and splashing. He also said "swim" when I told him that flying in the water was called swimming.
