12/22 - We were playing the piano, singing some carols, and Jonathan sang, "Rejoice! Rejoice! Man-u, man-u, man-u, man-u, man-u, shall come!"
Later that morning, way before his usual naptime, he was nursing and I saw his eyes roll back in his head, and the lids closing. This surprised me, so I asked him, "Are you sleepy, or do you have something in your eye?" He replied, "Just blinking." However, within another two minutes, he was asleep.
Yesterday, 12/23 - Jon had the day off work. Jonathan got a lot of Daddy time. I went shopping by myself (and it was weird, just getting right out of the car without unbuckling him and taking him with me...) Later, after I had come home and we had lunch, Jon went out to change the oil in the car and Jonathan came out to help him. In the process of getting ready, Jonathan was downstairs and Jon came back up for something. When he went back down, he called up for me to come, too. Jonathan had put his boots on all by himself! Then when they were finished, he took off his boots and coat all by himself as well.
