We had a big bash, hosted by the Moores. I invited all our Pittsburgh friends that I had valid email addresses for. (So if you missed it and are disappointed, send me your correct email address!) Total attendees: 45 (including babies.)
We all had a lot of fun, and I'd like to thank all my helpers, especially Rob, Sheila, and Scott, Avin, Jon, Chloe, Jill, Iva Mae, and the cleanup crew whom I was too tired to notice individually. I'm happy with how it went - better planned out than last year, with more improvements I can work on for next year.
I put together a powerpoint presentation as a surprise for Jon. I'm on the wrong computer right now, but I'll put that up for anyone to view later.
Well, somehow I'm at a loss for words, so maybe Jon can write about it. Pictures will be up as soon as we don't need our internet connection for looking up how to fix the furnace.

It's hard to type, let alone think, when it's 52 degrees inside! Does Noah have Jonathan's disregard for cold?
No, but we have him in his warmest outfit, and holding him a lot. I've had to hold him for naps because the bed is too cold to put him down on. He did just discover what "hot" really means, though. He crept over to the space heater faster than expected and reached right out to touch the metal part that Jon had just measured at 200degreesF. He has good reflexes, so he's fine, but he did complain at first. I almost can't call it a cry, more like he was offended that it would hurt him.
Two hours later, he crawled over to the space heater again, and I said, "Do you remember what happened last time you touched that?", and he grinned like crazy, and then backed away.
I can't get over how smart kids are. What is it so easy for us big folk to think they're not?
