Despite a hectic life and no blog posts, Jonathan continues to learn and do amazing and cute things here are a few highlights.
10/19 - Played sesame street Nintendo game with Jon. Matching colors. Jon held the controls and Jonathan told him what to do - "Does that match?" "no." "Does that match" "no." etc. The first round, Jonathan answered perfectly, and when he matched the correct color, the little rabbit came out of the hat and congratulated him. Directly after that, Jonathan discovered that if he said, "yes" the rabbit came out. Even if it was wrong - the rabbit would come out and shake his head. But then Jonathan did not care to match the colors, he wanted to see the rabbit, so he said "yes" most of the time.

After that game, they did a numbers/counting game with martians "green babies" which he did pretty well on if the number was under six. (Jonathan still does not like to count to seven, but Sunday he did say "seven" by itself.)
10/20 - Mommy took a shower upstairs and Jonathan amused himself by running down the hall and throwing himself to the floor in the bathroom. He thought it was hilarious, and I have now added stunt double to his list of potential occupations.

In the kitchen, he found the meat mallet in a drawer and said, "ice maker." Dumb kid, you say? No! That is what I use to crush ice cubes for him to eat.

Starting this day (or very near it) Jonathan has shown his understanding of the past tense rule of English grammar. He says "Jonathan falled floor" or "Car felled off table."

10/22 - At Iva Mae's house, playing with Duplos, he made a construction other than a tower for the first time. He held it up to us and said, "Make huge sailboat!"

10/23 - 18th tooth, upper left molar, beginning to poke through. He has not indicated much pain, though he does chew on his fingers.

10/24 - Today when I got out a new set of words for him, he asked to see them eight times in a row! And then he spent the next several minutes reading them to himself.
