We went late to a party the other week and also stayed late to help clean up. It turns out that this year the guests were not beer drinkers, so the host had lots left over. He was not unhappy about that, but he did have a few bottles of light beer that he lamented still having. I offered to take a couple of bottles to try in fondue.
Today I opened a bottle while preparing our fondue dinner. There was about a quarter cup left over so I thought I'd taste it. Here's my review:
It's not as gross as regular beer, but still gross. It tastes like watery beer. No wonder our host, who likes good beer, said, "I'd rather drink water."
Come back later for an update to see if it ruins the fondue or not...
