Jonathan and I were up on the third floor when the trash truck came by, and he likes to watch, so I brought him to the window. The third floor attracts and kills flies (not sure why) so it was no surprise to see a fly buzzing around the window. It was obviously sick because Jonathan was able to catch it (neat pincer grasp...) and he did a good job of dissecting and smushing the thing. (don't worry grandmothers, I washed his hands immediately after.) Jonathan had no hesitation about catching and holding something that wriggled in his hands. (My sqeamishness has increased with my age.)

It is the winter, so they get slow. At least that is what I have always believed about the flies in the winter.

Grandmother: I wasn't even thinking about handwashing; I was just glad you didn't let him taste it. :)
