After a lot of deliberation, we (mostly myself, as Heather thinks it is neat, but not really worth the money) decided to get a movie projector, screen and surround sound system. It is a fair amount of money, but is fun.I used my birthday money (Thanks Grandpa and Mom!) to help pay for it. We finally got everything set up two nights ago, and watched a movie last night.
The Lion King DVD has a handy calibration tool, so we had that in for a minute, and Jonathan thought the elephants and
giraffes were fun to watch, though he didn't want to pose for a picture next to them.
We got a similar system as the Kuhns, which made decisions easier, as John had already done the research. We got an
Onkyo HT-S680 sound system, an
InFocus X3 projector, and a
Da-Lite 100" screen.
