When I was installing RT (Request Tracker) I got an error, since I hadn't ever set up CPAN before. After searching for a bit, here is the solution. I figured I would post this here to help others in the future find it in google quicker. (More)

Wake up at 3AM because you can't sleep.
Notice that the shower has not drained from the day before.
Plunge the tub to force the water through the slow drain.

I just discovered last night that if you type in more than one word into the address bar, FireFox assumes you are doing a google search, and even better, does the "I'm feeling lucky" feature of google. So, if you type Jon Daley into firefox's address bar, it goes to my home page. Faster than typing out snurgle.org...

Jonathan walked from the doorway of the computer room to the mirror in the hallway all by himself! The distance is about six feet. He cheered for himself when he got to the mirror (:

I added a small color changing picker (bottom right of this page), if you don't like my purply colors. Of course, you can only pick the colorsets that I let you, and right now there isn't much interesting, but I will get around to making some more at some point. (More)

Last night, Jonathan, from a standing position and without holding onto anything else, bent down to pick up a toy and straightened up again.

Ever notice how it now takes a year for Acrobat Reader to load up? You can speed it up about 20x or so, by moving the plugins you don't use out of the "startup" folder. If you put the files into the "optional" folder, I believe it will still be able to find them when you want to use them, and it will load them then.
A reasonable default is to leave ewh32.api, search.api, and reflow.api in your plugins directory, and move everything else into the optional folder.
You can make a disabled_plugins directory if you want them to be really gone.

Bernie says our car is dead. He can't figure out what is going on. He thought maybe the dealership might know something, but he didn't have a lot of hope.
I have heard that a 1988 Dodge Caravan was/is a really good car, and should last a long time.
I do see lots of them around Pittsburgh. But, something is messing up the engine, so it has a hard time starting and a hard time idling. I guess if you keep your foot on the gas, then it does alright, although it wears out the starter.
I don't really want to buy another car. They are so much money, and I don't have any idea what a good price is.

Except By the Consumer. I don't think they really meant for someone to consume it orally. He didn't, but he tried.

Jonathan must have been reading about the Alloways in the newsletter, as he wanted to find out about the London Bridge and fell over twice today. Once with a face plant off of the couch, and another time rolled off of the bed. They were somewhat traumatic, and it seemed that he was crying because he was hurting, and not just surprised, like he sometimes has with smaller bonks.

The Friends of Judy have set up an Ebay store to try to raise money for Judy's legal fees. Take a look -- there has been a lot of stuff donated, and you might find something useful.

Today, right after Grammy arrived, she was playing with Jonathan, holding a balloon out for him to get. He took two steps toward it - all by himself!!!!

I finally found out what the meeting tomorrow for Judy is about. I thought it was some sort of hearing, but it turns out it is just a silly formality, where each charge is read in front of Judy, and then she pleads whatever to each charge, and then is done.
So, I imagine not very interesting, although there is a definite time limit for which the court has to set a trial date (30 days).
