Noah has been so much fun recently.  I know I've said that before, but now he's initiating the fun, which is a new development.  He likes to dance, to bounce, to jump (with my help.)  He continues to like peek-a-boo, he loves to play the dropping game.  He even played... (More)

Jonathan woke up late on his birthday morning and discovered a bouquet of Happy Birthday balloons tied to the foot of his bed. He had a good long drink of mommy milk and then discovered his birthday crown on the sewing table which he put on after dressing in his "wedding clothes."... (More)

On these two days, Mr. Alcorn has strayed away from at least what I know as traditional views of Heaven, though granted, I am not a particularly studied scholar on the matter.  I haven't ever heard of an intermediate Heaven, which is different from the future Heaven.  His definition... (More)

I sort of got discouraged on days 2 and 3, where I didn't find much that was edifying. But day 4 had a couple interesting things. One was a question I have about "Eden has been trampled, torched, and savaged." I have thought Eden was doing okay.  I guess maybe if the whole... (More)

I guess I will need to read the book - I have not liked a fair amount of what John Piper has to say (which is unfortunate, since my church loves everything he says). But I happened across Slice of Laodicea and read the following quote today, which is exactly how I have been thinking recently:... (More)

Serina wrote a post on raw milk that I started to comment on, when I decided it deserved a whole post on my own blog. I thought the person quoted in the raw milk article made a good point about lettuce, etc. making people sick. Think of the recent spinach/e.coli thing. Are states now... (More)

We don't really know what happened, but we hadn't seen any robins at the nest for a while. Three weeks after Easter, I became suspicious, and now for sure these eggs won't hatch. We're going to clean up the whole window area and hopefully next year we will have successful robin hatching. (More)
