Jonathan had a routine blood test at his 9 month appointment, and they say he has a high lead content in his blood. They are re-running the test today, to make sure that they didn't mess it up the first time.
The city will test your water, so we did that this morning. I think it takes a week or two to get the results back. (More)

Wake up at 3AM because you can't sleep.
Notice that the shower has not drained from the day before.
Plunge the tub to force the water through the slow drain.

Bernie says our car is dead. He can't figure out what is going on. He thought maybe the dealership might know something, but he didn't have a lot of hope.
I have heard that a 1988 Dodge Caravan was/is a really good car, and should last a long time.
I do see lots of them around Pittsburgh. But, something is messing up the engine, so it has a hard time starting and a hard time idling. I guess if you keep your foot on the gas, then it does alright, although it wears out the starter.
I don't really want to buy another car. They are so much money, and I don't have any idea what a good price is.

Hopefully, we are different than "Patio Man", but Heather and I had been considering doing something with our old linoleum kitchen floor, as it seemed impossible to clean. Last week I was in Busy Beaver and saw wood laminate floors on sale, so I decided to get some. It ended up being a little more than I thought originally, but still reasonably cheap, as far as flooring goes.

Hi all. I figured I would put a post here, so it will show up in a search engine if anyone happens to remember that our ten year reunion is coming up soon. We are trying to contact people, and at least with my list of people (Cheryl Clough, Bill Earnshaw, Jimmy Card, Brandi Dubuque, and Sam Clemens) I am having a hard time finding anyone...

So, if you know the wherebouts of anyone from the class of 1995, let me know.

The bike ride was tough, and my knees hurt a lot, but I made it the whole way.
I decided not to do the "century" ride, 100 miles in the first day, but just did 82 miles the first day, and 68 miles the second day.
I had friends that biked also, but mostly, some biked faster, and some biked slower, so I didn't get to spend too much time with anyone, although I did spend a little time with Paul Behrens, and some small conversations with "random" people as we biked along
The trip was well organized, plenty of food at the rest stops, and people at almost every intersection to direct traffic. (More)

Pittsburgh vehicle drivers need to learn the law. A guy swerved into me on my bike today. I honked at him, but he continued into my path. I yelled at him, and he stopped and got out of his car and made like he was going to do something. He then decided better of it (I guess I must have been bigger than he thought, ha...) then he continued to swear at me, and say I didn't belong on the road, etc. I told him I would get his license plate number, but of course the police don't do anything about near-misses. They have to wait until I am dead, then they will do something. The officer did say he understands and is sorry. Doesn't that make me feel better.

I haven't posted this here, and since occasionally some people actually read this, I might as well post it. I am going on a 150 mile bike ride on June 12-13 to raise money for multiple sclerosis. I am supposed to raise at least $200, so if you have a couple bucks to spare, please send some my way. There is a link here too.

Heather and I have wanted to put scripture on the wall for a while, and we finally got around to doing it, and finished one of the walls today.
Scripture Stencil -- As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord

If you noticed, I have been playing with the colors lately. I think I like this setting. Any opinions?

I was filling out a survey on surveyspot.com, and got this question. I thought the "Please assume" part was pretty funny.

If you were living on a space station for a year and could only bring one electronic device, which would it be?
Please assume all will work as they do on earth.

Hello, this is Heather. I'm Jon's wife and Isaac and Jonathan's mom. Now I have good motivation to post things, too, because it's easy!

Well -- started into the world of blogging. I told Heather today that I had mostly ignored blogs up until now, as I had sort of categorized them as things for people younger than me, and people who use the word "phat" as part of their regular language. But, since I write all the HTML for Isaac's page by hand, I thought I would take a look at this. It seems pretty nifty. I am using pLog, as it was easy to install, and I liked the original layout. It is a little hard to find stuff sometimes, but I have only played with it for a day or so, so presumably it will get better.
