On Sunday we were singing "Forever God is Faithful, Forever God is strong, Forever God is with us, Forever." This is "Samuel's Song" for me - the song that rang through my head all day long when Sam K. was born. It reminded me of all the prayer that went up for his birth, and God's faithfulness in answering it. (More)

Jonathan has gone from complete non-understanding to maybe understanding but not caring, to really being excited about the baby. (More)

Had another prenatal appointment yesterday. All is well. She found the heartbeat right away this time, but Jon couldn't find it himself. He is too cautious - but I'd sure rather he be too gentle than too rough! (More)

Had another prenatal appointment this morning. Blood pressure great; measuring a little big, but still within normal. I have felt like all of a sudden the last week or so, my belly has "popped out." Baby was moving so much it took a while to locate the heartbeat, but it was definitely there. He is head down already! Good job, little one.

We've been trying for a couple of weeks with no success. Then this morning, he gave Jon a nice big kick he could feel, hooray! This is 21 weeks.

20 weeks, half way. Baby is moving a lot, but still not yet felt by the outside world. I borrowed a home blood pressure monitor and that has been nice. It's on the low side, but within normal range, so I am happy.

Wednesday was the second prenatal appointment. It was just barely starting to snow when we left Pittsburgh, and by the time we got to the small country road where our midwife is, it was a little slippery. Jon is good at driving in snow, but he still missed the turn into their driveway. (More)

I just realized I haven't posted about the new baby in a while. We have decided to go to the same midwife that we had for Jonathan's birth. She is very excited and our first appointment will be in the middle of December. (More)
