Signs

Jonathan has been quite consistently using the "milk" sign, sometimes with both hands! It is a fun game to sign "milk" to each other while he's nursing. (More)

You Couldn't Say He Wouldn't Hurt a Fly

Jonathan and I were up on the third floor when the trash truck came by, and he likes to watch, so I brought him to the window. The third floor attracts and kills flies (not sure why) so it was no surprise to see a fly buzzing around the window. (More)

New Version of Plog

I downloaded the development version of plog, and it is likely to be a little bumpy the next couple of days. The current schedule says it will be released in March, and I am planning on helping out. I have been working on the code behind the scenes anyway, but since I was working on the older version, it wasn't very useful. (More)

Frozen Pipes

We woke up this morning (5ish) to no water in our upstairs bathroom. The downstairs sink was fine, which had been trouble before, so maybe I actually fixed that last year. The temperature was 9 degrees Fahrenheit, and typically, we have had trouble once it gets to the teens. (More)

Plog Template Update

It had always annoyed me that you couldn't use smarty commands in the stylesheet files in plog. It turns out it wasn't that hard to figure out, and the original authors had it basically done, but if you believe the comments, didn't think it worked yet. (More)

Tentative Trial Date

Some dates were actually set in the case against Judy Wilson in a "Status Conference" this morning.
There will be additional Status Conferences in February and April 2005. Jury selection will begin June 15th and the trial is tentatively set for June 20th. A two week trial window has been reserved.

Version Manager Setup

Whether you know the program as Merant, Serena or PVCS, the setup is difficult, and despite the sales department insistence that you don't need a full-time person to run their servers, I am starting to doubt it.
