I am planning on a couple bike trips in the next couple days, and figured I would write them down, one, in case I ever want to do them again, I will be able to find the route easier, and two, perhaps others will follow in my tire tracks. (More)

I was listening to "One More Day" and thought I would write a bit about him and his songs.
I first heard David when he came to CMU, I think in 1996, shortly after being given a couple months to live by his doctor due a large tumor. The only song I remember from his first visit to Carnegie Mellon was, "If I Had Another", which he sang slightly differently live than recorded, but basically it is the same song. (More)

I was updating my list of quotes that I have given people, and I noticed that I have hit the $500/month mark for revenue (not profit), seems like a significant number!

It has been fun, though sometimes too much work - hopefully someday will able to just work on Lime Daley stuff, rather than a full-time job as well.

Zoo

We went to the zoo on Wednesday with the Tomans and Venables. It was a lot of fun. (More)

Noah had an appointment at six weeks, kind of both his one month and two month appointments, because of scheduling. He is 13 lb, 13 oz, 23.5 in. Not as fast to gain as Jonathan, but still good and healthy. My suspicion is that he won't be as fat as Jonathan was since Jonathan is now drinking the extra milk. (By the way, Jonathan's weight has stayed the same despite having that extra milk. He has reduced his solid food calories to compensate.) (More)

Jonathan has gradually corrected his mispronunciation of words as he gets older. The two remaining sounds he has trouble with are hard "G" and "C/K." Around last week, he said "car" correctly. When he thinks about it, he can do it, and he likes to over-emphasise the ccckkk. He still says "tar" when he isn't thinking about it. (More)

Bill linked to a new (at least to me) personality profile thingy. I haven't done the Meyers-Briggs test in a while, but I have consistently scored ESFP, and I generally like that assessment. One version of the test had a fairly long paragraph describing ESFP's, and it fit exactly. (I always remember that I am ESFP, because I am exactly opposite of Daniel, and somehow INTJ is easier to remember. (More)

It seems as if Noah is giving us real smiles now. He also is moving his hands and arms more purposefully. (More)

Noah is a great sleeper and a great nurser. He will sleep 4-5 hours straight at the beginning of the night, and 2-3 hour segments during the day. This actually gives me time to play with Jonathan and get work done! He's also efficient at nursung and does not stay on as long as Jonathan did (or even still does!) (More)

Jonathan seems to think that a baseball glove is for throwing the ball as well as catching it. I told him that if he wanted to throw a ball with a tool, he should get a lacrosse stick, it would work better than a glove. He then asked why a "cross like we have upstairs" (I think he was referring to the palm frond crosses) would be useful. I then emphasized and explained the difference between "cross" and "lacrosse." But he still didn't understand that part. He went to his lowercase alphabet puzzle, took out the "t" and threw the ball with it! (More)

It started out beautifully. When Jonathan needed a morning diaper change, I put Noah in the carseat which was in the basement family room. He started fussing while I was still rinsing the diaper, so Jonathan went out and started singing quietly to him! When I got there, Jonathan was gently rocking Noah. It was very sweet. (More)
